NYFW 2011: Top Ten + 3 at Donna Karan

I know I've been doing my Top Ten, but this collection was just too hard to narrow down. I loved it so much that I actually felt bad cutting some looks I loved. So I didn't. It's my blog, I make the rules.

Where to begin:
The hair: chignon (my fave)
The makeup: muted but oh so feminine
The color scheme: a twist on Winter Wonderland...minus the pompoms and the animosity towards the season
The tailoring: perfect..actually better than perfect
The gowns: red carpet ready...so detailed and sophisticated and beautiful
The looks: totally wearable and luxurious.

I look forward to the day when my pockets are deep enough for me to wear the tailored suiting pieces to work and the gowns to galas and the beautiful coats with accompanying scarves to the street. Until then, Ill keep dreaming and live through the photos. 

DK called the show "Pearls of Wisdom" and a "call to woman". Now really...can you get more empowering than that? DK will you be my Valentine? <3
